Billy Bong’s Strain of the Month for March: Gelato

Hello and High stoners alike, welcome back to another Strain of the Month! A dedicated section of CN allowing you, the viewer, learn about some of our top strains and favourite smokes of the month. 

This month I was fortunate enough to acquire a few strains like Banana Boat, Swiss Cheese and yes you guessed it – Gelato. Now Gelato is a heavyweight when it comes to global cannabis, receiving top-notch reviews around the world. The strain is best known for its high THC content and fiery orange nugs that are guaranteed to send you to the moon and back. The strain provides plenty of physical relaxation and a high that’s well rounded enough to keep you productive and creative when enjoying Gelato during the day. 

Gelato is better known as Larry Bird, a hybrid by nature originating from Cookie Farm and Sherbinski, with a lineage that can be traced back to Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint GSC. The smoke is pleasant and has a fruity dessert-like aroma to it which I enjoyed for the first time during a beautiful hike just west of Johannesburg.

I do suggest caution to the noobies due to the high THC content, but all round this is a brilliant and well-crafted strain making it my Strain of the Month for March! So as always stoners – stay happy and healthy.
