So you’ve lit up, now what? For the discerning stoner, simply staring blankly at the ceiling or your pet and wondering what goes through their head is not enough. That’s why we at Cannabis News have compiled a list of the most productive… well, entertaining things to do while high!

1. Puff, Pass and Paint

THC is great at activating the creative side of your brain. If you can’t paint or get your creative juices flowing while you’re in your normal state of mind, try your hand at something artistic when you’re lifted.

Going to the movies stoned isn’t exactly groundbreaking. But with modern cinematography better than ever, stellar effects and characters make it all the more enjoyable. 

3. Outdoor Adventures

Movies are great, but the world that nature has to offer can’t be compared. There’s even a scientific element to this recommendation. Interacting with nature reduces anxiety, and can even lower blood pressure.

Kind of like drinking games, marijuana games can be a great way to bring people together. Any board game is also guaranteed to be a lot more fun with a little smoke added to the mix.

7. Dance 

Dancing on your own may seem like a silly thing to do, and it probably is. But it’s a fun way of creating body positivity and self love. Put on some tunes you used to listen to as a teenager, and let your uninhibited self free in the comfort of your bedroom or living room. It feels really good to be hyper aware of how good it feels to simply move for the sake of it feeling good, and being stoned makes that connection that much easier. 

8. Napping

Depending on how much you’ve smoked, a nap can be a godsend in a highly medicated state. The right strain can help you drift off and catch some much needed z’s. 

9. Music

Good quality headphones, a comfy chair, and an album that means something to you is the equation to a successful time of chilled out enjoyment of music. Most people will agree that there is something better about listening to music when stoned. The part of our brain that draws relations between ideas becomes stimulated when we’re high, and music is packed with metaphors and patterns that we may be more susceptible to in an altered state. 

10. Conversation

The ancient art of good discussion can be lovely and enchanting with everyone puffing away. Cannabis has a way of dulling your verbal memory, meaning that you often forget what you were talking about after going off on a tangent. 

Having said that, a conversation that takes a lot of twists and turns can be a real journey and therapeutic. However, if you’re going to be having a serious talk with a friend, it may help that only you be stoned so they can give you more focused feedback.
