5 Movies to Watch While Stoned in Isolation

movies to watch in isolation

As we all know, South Africa is in the midst of a national shutdown. On Thursday the 26th of March at midnight, in order to fight and combat the spread of COVID 19, isolation began. With this comes strict rules on leaving your home and plenty of free time.

Not all is doom and gloom though as we now have an opportunity to stay in and watch some wonderful and wacky movies, so I’ve put together this list movies to watch in isolation:

  1. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998) – An oddball journalist and his psychopathic lawyer travel to Las Vegas for a series of psychedelic escapades.

2. Interstellar (2014) – A team of explorers travel through a wormhole in space in an attempt to ensure humanity’s survival.

3. Up (2009) – 78 year-old Carl Fredricksen travels to Paradise Falls in his house equipped with balloons, inadvertently taking a young stowaway.

4. Beetlejuice (1988) – The spirits of a deceased couple are harassed by an unbearable family that has moved into their home, and hire a malicious spirit to drive them out.

5. The Matrix (1999) – A computer hacker learns from mysterious rebels about the true nature of his reality and his role in the war against its controllers.

Your personal taste will have a lot to do with whether or not you will enjoy this list of movies to watch in isolation, but I’ve found these to be awesome and I think some of you might too!

Peace, love and success
