Looking for a cannabis strain that’ll leave you feeling peachy? Well, you might be interested in Peach Crescendo – a strain growing in popularity from Ethos Genetics. These breeders have become a powerhouse in recent years, introducing some of the world’s most popular strains to the cannabis community.
Peach Crescendo has some prestigious lineage, being an eclectic cross between (Chem D x i95) x Mandarin Cookies x Peach Ring – giving us a truly striking plant that grows aggressively. This is a hybrid strain which leans more to the indica variety and will be sure to leave you as chilled as can be.
Now, this strain is not all that popular in South Africa and I’ve never seen it on any menu before. However, a school friend of mine has gotten quite serious with his growing recently and decided to put this strain in the tent. And my goodness, did he do one hell of a job with this one!
He invited me over for a smoke sesh and a catch up after not seeing each other for a few months. I arrived with all my goodies and a sober mind in anticipation for the dankness we were about to consume. We sat down under the lapa and prepped the rigs for the sesh, and then he handed me a bankie with one of the fattest nugs I have ever held with my own two hands! This girl certainly was a fattie.
I popped open the baggie and a flood of tropical peachy notes with a touch of sour spices reached up to my nose. You know when your dank is so pungent it almost makes your eyes water? Well, this was one of those moments. I inhaled deeply and enjoyed these strong notes for a minute, all while admiring the beauty of this nug – gorgeous light green and dense nugs with stunning orange hairs and covered in crystal trichomes. I found myself in a daze while admiring this nug, almost drooling at the thought of smoking it. So after a nod of approval, it was time to smoke.
We broke up this nug and ground it down, being met with even more potent aromas along the way. We packed our bowls and countdown began – it was time for take-off.
One bong rip later and man did this Peach Crescendo have me feeling like I was on cloud 9. I felt my body tingling and getting lighter as the seconds ticked away and I fell deeper into my high. Like many others, I try keep myself fit and healthy with regular workouts – but this can take its toll on the body. In addition, I’ve struggled with lower back pain for a couple of years now, so my body often feels like it’s taken a bit of a beating – but this strain made me forget about all of this as my body relaxed completely. I would definitely recommend this strain to anyone battling with chronic pain in their lives – it’s well worth a shot.
I personally found that this strain worked wonders on my body, but left me feeling very little mentally. It seemed to neither stimulate or dull the mind other than just feeling a little spacey with nearly all of the noticeable effects happening to the body. This isn’t a bad thing in my eyes though as I was able to physically relax and unwind but still converse coherently throughout the evening and even after a couple more rips.
After a few hours and bongs, I had to hit the road as curfew was approaching. My friend gifted me a juicy nug to enjoy at home and I hit the road. I got home and glided up the stairs and through the front door before diving into my bed for a beautiful deep sleep. I woke up the next day with my body still feeling more relaxed than it normally would – a trend that continued in the mornings after I smoked some Peach Crescendo.
This strain didn’t blow me away so much that I will go out of my way to get some or source some seeds for growing, but it is definitely a worthy Strain of the Month. It looks and smells gorgeous and reminds one of happy, summery days. It provides a memorable smoke experience and some awesome effects on the body. If you need a strain that helps the body unwind but still keeps you awake and functioning, this might be the strain for you!
