Colorado’s Strawberry Fields dispensary in Pueblo is the first in the American state to get their hands on a weed vending machine.
The modern world, with some help from COVID-19, is becoming a place where you can buy your groceries and other necessities without having to endure face-to-face contact. It could soon become a common reality, particularly in legal cannabis areas such as US states or Canada, where cannabis consumers can simply walk up to a vending machine and get their hands on some premium cannabis.
Matt Frost, founder and CEO of Anna, has introduced what he calls a “tricked out vending machine”. This wonderful contraption serves the purpose of fulfilling orders for cannabis products. These will allow customers to purchase flower, oils, vape oils and more without having to interact with budtenders. Matt has also confirmed that they plan on expanding to other dispensaries scattered across the country.
This isn’t just great news for introverts, but great for society as we try to minimise human contact amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. As exciting as it is seeing a weed vending machine spew out nugs, South Africans shouldn’t expect something similar any time soon.
